… what should I say: after some years of W:ET-abscence, goq’kaily decided to release the first 3:20 min. of his long awaited “Suck My Ping 3″-movie after reading my nostalgic post on “Suck My Ping 1″.

Well.. together with the trailer, we now got some serious parts of the whole movie. So go and get some more old-school quality frags:

Khamoshi fragmovie

Flash from Czech Republic presents us his first movie: Khamoshi, which means something like “friends”. Most people on Crossfire stated that there is missing some spice in it, but form your own opinion and have a look.

Remember “Suck My Ping”? I just happened to see the video again today on own3D.at. After 4 years now it made me remember the good old times and how I was fascinated with the nice frags from kaily back in 2004 when the fragmovie hit the scene… After seeing it I downloaded all the replays/demos that were available on the gods of quake website.

Kaily also released “Suck My Ping 2“. Plus he announced “Suck My Ping 3″ and postponed it several times if I remember it correctly. But Part 3 was never released though (except for the trailer).

Check out this fresh new trickjump-movie that has been released 6 days ago. It has got really a lot of cool jumps not from this world, which I’m sure I’ll never be able to do but which are nevertheless fun to watch – just to know what theoretically could be possible. I personally like the Supply Depot-jump at 2:20 best. But enjoy those 8 1/2 trickjump-minutes for yourselves…

RaZiel was a famous Return to Castle Wolfenstein-player years ago. Many people today still count him to one of the best RTCW players ever. Luckily he wanted to share his recipes for improving your aiming and tactical finesse with the community, so he wrote a tutorial to the end of 2003: Aiming by RaZiel.

Although the tutorial is quite old and targets RTCW-players, things haven’t changed that much and the lessons are also relevant to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory-Players. This one is a must-have for every ambitious player.

The tutorial centers around eliminating most friction between your mouse and your mousepad/-underground and then adjusting & finding the sensitivity thats works best for you to precisely aim at a small spot while strafing with or without using stamina. Note how smoothly his crosshair wanders with almost no vertical movement. (I will come to the relevance of that point in another article.)

I myself use a wooden table as mouseunderground from the beginning on. Before I start to play I often use to polish the underground with Pronto Classic furniture spray to minimize friction. As I am a high-sensitivity player, I never will get that ultra-smooth mousemovement and thus that RaZiel-poweraim. But the key to success I believe is to find your personal setup and style, stick to it (and not adjust your configuration every time you loose) and improve it by practicing alot. And: The games hitboxes luckily are big enough, so that it would be overdone to be able to track a small pixel…
